Awesome and Awkward

There were so many awesome things piled into the past three days! Three day weekends definitely have my vote as one of the best things in life. I think they should come around more often, don't you?! As I remember all the awesome stuff, I guess I should just go ahead and tell you all the awkward parts too! Feel free to list your weekend awkward and awesomes below...

Here's what was awesome:

-My husbands teaching at church this past Sunday morning! So good! God used him in a BIG way!
-Mornings where baby J decides to sleep in until 9....
-The scalp massage you get when you get your hair done...
-Fish Taco's at Gordon Biersch....
-The company of Lisa and Kevin....
-My moms new chicken pot pie recipe....
-Joya with her pants hiked up telling me she is Steve Urkel...
-Mornings you wake up @ 6am ready to go...

And now the awkward:

-Telling the lady at Bashas Happy Labor Day not once, but twice.
-Rocking out in the car, show casing my vocal skillzzz to some old school Alanis, when my 2 year old daughter tells me to "STOP! SINGING!"... tough crowd!
-One of my dear family members telling me the hard truth that I have the ability to become pretty large in my back-end, if I don't watch it now. Its okay anonymous family member, I need these talks, seriously!

We do have a winner for the MOST awkward moment of the weekend...
What you are seeing is my dog Nash, who just so happend to get tangled up in my unmentionables while we were out and about this past Memorial Day. Bad Doggy!! Awkward.....

Thursday Night Rebels

Tonight we let Little Miss J stay up way past her 7pm bed time (Early? Mmmhmm. Neccessary? Mmhmm!). We decided to let her call the shots as to where we would be spending our night out as a fam. She did a great job choosing! Her picks were tire swings and cheese burgers! So that is what happened! Personally I think we'll be letting her pick more often :)

Here is a pic of her and Tai at her favorite spot!! Next stop was In N Out. Good job Joya! I'm going to practice teaching you the words "Chandler Mall" for next time daddy asks!

Midnight Ramblings

Random things that I have been thinking about lately that are not in anyway related and probably don't have any appeal to you.

1. I really wish I had a better laugh. One that didn't involve the snorting noise and or the horse sound.

2. Life just feels a little bit better when you have a whole conversation w/ a friend using a British accent that suddenly turns a little bit southern.

3. The Real Housewives Of Orange County are not very nice.

4. 1 pump of coconut goes really nicely in my green tea. Scratch the classic.

5. A feeling of gratitude is the best feeling in the world.

6. Christina Aguilera and Snooki must be sisters somehow.

7. Cake Pops :P

8. Yoga is not for wimps...my sore sore abs and legs can vouche for this today!

9. Sedona for the weekend...soon, maybe?

10.The cutest thing in the world has to be my daughter in her princess helmet!

San Diego!!!!

When your hubby has 2 jobs and you're running after a little munchkin 24/7 you gotta get your romance on and get outa dodge... So we did! And I gotta say, I fall in love w/ Cali more each time I'm there. The only thing missing on this trip was my favorite little person in the whole universe, Miss Joya. She stayed w/ her Momo and PaPa and we missed her terribly. Honestly I didn't know I could miss a person as much as I missed her. The smile on her face when we got out of the car upon arriving home was a moment I will never forget!  I could write about her all day but that is not what this post is about for once.
Tai and I have not been away on vacay just the 2 of us since our honeymoon! That was nearly 4 years ago! To say a baby free trip was in order is an understatement. We stayed in Mission Beach at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay 3 of the days and 2 days were spent w/ family in San Clemente and also Carlsbad. Here's a peek inside the best trip EVER (minus all the snot rags, but that story will have to wait!)

I've decided my favorite beach in SD is Coronado, its the cleanest and its such a cute little town.

I was enamored w/ the view from our room. We were on the bay. Absolutely GORGEOUS!

Tai is afraid of birds. I became aware of this during our trip, this being one of the moments I captured that serves as evidence ;) since he won't own up!!

Mary showed up in Encinitas while we were in SD. Some unidentified artist created this BEAUTIFUL stained glass mosiac and glued it to the side of a concrete bridge. There is a debate going on whether she will stay. I vote yes! I like her :)

Sea World. I think the sea turtles had to be my faves!

2 of my most favorite things in life. San Clemente Pier and my cute hubby!

Yay for good times w/ people you love! Xoxox
