San Diego!!!!

When your hubby has 2 jobs and you're running after a little munchkin 24/7 you gotta get your romance on and get outa dodge... So we did! And I gotta say, I fall in love w/ Cali more each time I'm there. The only thing missing on this trip was my favorite little person in the whole universe, Miss Joya. She stayed w/ her Momo and PaPa and we missed her terribly. Honestly I didn't know I could miss a person as much as I missed her. The smile on her face when we got out of the car upon arriving home was a moment I will never forget!  I could write about her all day but that is not what this post is about for once.
Tai and I have not been away on vacay just the 2 of us since our honeymoon! That was nearly 4 years ago! To say a baby free trip was in order is an understatement. We stayed in Mission Beach at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay 3 of the days and 2 days were spent w/ family in San Clemente and also Carlsbad. Here's a peek inside the best trip EVER (minus all the snot rags, but that story will have to wait!)

I've decided my favorite beach in SD is Coronado, its the cleanest and its such a cute little town.

I was enamored w/ the view from our room. We were on the bay. Absolutely GORGEOUS!

Tai is afraid of birds. I became aware of this during our trip, this being one of the moments I captured that serves as evidence ;) since he won't own up!!

Mary showed up in Encinitas while we were in SD. Some unidentified artist created this BEAUTIFUL stained glass mosiac and glued it to the side of a concrete bridge. There is a debate going on whether she will stay. I vote yes! I like her :)

Sea World. I think the sea turtles had to be my faves!

2 of my most favorite things in life. San Clemente Pier and my cute hubby!

Yay for good times w/ people you love! Xoxox

Favorite Finds For Spring/Summer

Here's a look at what I am LOVING this Spring :)

Messenger Bags
I just purchased one this Friday, after wanting one for a long time. I saw the one. It was love at first sight and 40% off! Being a mom you need a purse that allows you easy access and the ability to be hands free.

Cat Eye Sunglasses
I know its night time and I have sunglasses on. I had allergy eyes and my hubby was camera happy. I bought my cheapies (pictured below) for 12 bucks at Francescas Collections to achieve the look, but I am really eyeing the ones made by Kate Spade.  Seen below my "I wear my sunglasses at night" photo.... A little pricier but considering everyday use, I think they are worth it!

Rainbow Flip Flops
Hands down the most comfy sandals EVER! Mine are a couple years old but I was not the brightest crayon and bought them in white, so they appear 10 yrs old. What was I thinkin?! I still sport em like they're hot, bc the comfort :) I'm visiting fam in San Clemente (where they originated) this wk end and am def. stopping by the Rainbow outlet fo sho.

Turquoise!
I love adding a pop of color with turquoise accessories especially when wearing something black. I also love it w/ yellow, red and heck even navy!

In case you were wondering, that's not me. Its just my twin Megan Fox hahahaha... JK! Anywhoo she got the turquoise memo! I texted her while she was deciding upon accessories to go w/ her dress. JK again.

Happy Shopping!!!

Confession: I have an inner fat girl...

I have come to the conclusion that all of the blogs I love to follow have something in common. They are transparent. Good or bad they let it all hang out...

appreciate this.

This is what I had hoped to find in reading the blogs of other moms/women. A sense of camaraderie. A feeling that I am not alone in my weirdness.

That's why I have decided to add a new addition to my blog that allows you to see my quirks called Confessions. They are there for you to hopefully laugh at, find that you  relate to and or just nod your head and write me hate mail.. So here is my 1st official confession.

Confession #1

I have an inner fat girl.

Yep you heard it right! I suffer from random (as in frequent) spurts of gluttony. I know my family is nodding their head in agreement, but some of you who don't know me as well may find it hard to believe, as my weight (has increased) but doesn't represent my true inner fat girl. My true inner fat girl would probably be on The Biggest Loser or something. Or best friends w/ Ruby on TLC. We'll give her a name since she is sensitive and doesn't like to be referred to as (whisper here) fat.... We will name her Bertha. I know my mom is on to the ways of Bertha. I think Bertha has her concerned as she nonchalantly suggested Weight Watchers while watching me (or Bertha) scarf down pancakes at the Good Egg this Monday. I thought it sounded like a good suggestion but I'm not sure how Bertha would cooperate with this... She would be grounded from ice cream and cake pops. And that makes her unhappy.

I mean this girl who lives deep inside of me eats like food is running away and will never be found again.
She sometimes eats 2 dinners and ice cream (maybe she did this tonight), and is contemplating joining a support group for those seriously addicted to chips and salsa.

Lock up your pantry she could be coming to a kitchen near you!!!
How can a beast this ferocious be tamed??

Here is a look at Bertha at her finest...

I'm alive!!

I have been MIA for quite sometime in the blogosphere. Turns out I have a little problem that I am currently confronting that has to do with not following through on things. I have nearly10 journals that can vouche for this. I recently found them while packing up my house and I have to say, they look a lot like my blog right now. Here is an example of what I mean...
Day 1-
I'm so excited to start journaling again...Yada yada yada- okay be back tomorrow...

Was I back? Nope. In all 10 journals? Nope not really. Case in point: This cannot happen w/ my blog!

This post is just to pop in and say "Hi! Remember me? I'm alive!" and please feel free to hold me accountable in the blogging dept. I will however make a little excuse concerning why I've been slacking off and it will only take 2 words for you to cut me some slack. We moved!! You get it now I'm sure... More on the details of that later! See you tomorrow (aahh famous last words)....
