Ohhh Monday

The weekend always goes by way too fast, and all of a sudden before I know it I open my eyes and its Monday once again. I don't know about your Monday's, but for me Monday's are the days you can find me mustering up all the motivation I can find to do anything productive at all. By Tuesday I am usually finding my way back into my groove and by Wed. I'm rockin it... Although on this particular Monday something has gotten into me, I think I might need to give my brain/body a rest before I watch The Batchelor tonight..... Talk about completing a to-do list I have done all of what is mentioned below during my daughter's nap time... :)

1. Caught up on all of my "Current Events" (Can you believe Jake Gyllenhal?!)

2. Caught up on all the latest episodes of Modern Family...
3. Played angry birds...
4.Self tanned
5.Named all my unborn children...
6. Got a little off task and folded some laundry (oops!) ....
8. Thought about things to make for dinner....
9. Thought about things to put on my grocery list....
10. Thought about going to the gym later.....

Woah those were a duezy time to get off task w/ the laundry again!!

As you can see, this Monday I am clearly on a new path....

Landmark

This week my independent little princess learned something pretty valuable (especially since she is just like me, in the sense that she is a bottomless pit). I am proud to announce that Joya is now feeding herself w/ utensils!!

I know to some of you it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but please take into consideration that up until this day, an hour a day everyday for the past 18 months has consisted of me placing anything that was not a finger food in this childs mouth! Which means I just gained an extra hour a day! That is 7 hours a week and just in case you were curious (I was) that is exactly 365 hours a year. What will I do with the extra time I now have on my hands? The possibilities are endless....

Mmmmm
Focus...

Joya feeding me! Yumm :P

A sense of accomplishment....
As you can see she was also insistant on feeding me! I think I'll sit back and let her return the favor for a while! I could get used to this service...

Saturday Bliss

Tai and I have made a vow to eachother recently that this year we will turn off the t.v. on the weekends and go do things... I don't think life was intended to be lived vicariously through the Real Housewives of Orange County. Now don't get me wrong, I will still indulge in my show's from time to time. I just noticed a pattern of watching life happen on the t.v. instead of getting out there and making life happen!!! I mean if I were a character in a book or on a t.v. show would you be interested in my life sitting on fb or watching tv on my couch, you would think I was a really boring and lame. And you would be 100% right!

This weekend was fun! We went and bought Joya a bike seat and a helmet, attached it to Tai's cruiser and we enjoyed the beautiful weather!!  I know it's nothing too exciting, but it was a step in the right direction for us and our new goal! She had so much fun on her first bike ride, she was grinning from ear to ear and was yelling "Go mommy Go!" (I guess she thought I was a little slow or something?) needless to say, she was in heaven. Life is so much more fun w/ Joya! She gets a kick out of everything! I wish I was as excited about anything as much as Joya was excited about her first bike ride! SO cute!

I am sad to report that we could not find our camera to take pictures! We will def. get some taken one way or another baby J was way too cute in her princess helmet to not have pictures! Hope you guys enjoy what's left of your weekend!

Xoxo
